Mt. Dhaulagiri simply means White Mountain and is the seventh highest mountain in the world. Dhaulagiri is also considered as the most interesting peak among all the eight thousand as in Nepal it stretches 120 kilometers (70 miles) west from the Kaligandaki River to the Bheri. This mountain is bordered to the north and southwest by Bheri River tributaries, and to the southeast by the Myagdi Khola. Dhaulagiri, at 8,167 meters (26,795 feet) above sea level, is the highest mountain within the limits of a single nation (Nepal).
